Minutes for January 22, 2014

 

1. 7:30 am called to order

 

2. Present: Connie Abert, Mary Lea St. Thomas, Greg Watling, Clif Morton, John Snider, Mary Kay Poehlman, Bill Lipschultz, Sherry Fisher

    Excused:  Terry Taylor and Mark Zachow

 

3. Open Meeting Statement

4. Sherry Fisher moved to approve the agenda, second by Clif Morton, motion carried.

5. Bill Lipschultz moved to approve November minutes, second by Mary Kay Poehlman, motion carried.

6. The treasurer report is as follows:  Savings Account $1,192.34 and Checking account $403.70.  Mary Lea St. Thomas made a motion to approve the treasurers report, second by Mary Kay Poehlman,  motion carried.

7. MOU - No report.

 

8.  Membership:  Casey Kapernick to replace Terry Brooke.  Mary Lea will talk with Casey.  Ashlee Smith wishes to remain on the membership roll.  Will replace Judge Hoffman at a later date.

 

9.  Roundtable Sharing:

Clif Morton stated there is a reduction of state and federal grants for his Fresh Start Program.  He shared that 3 have graduated from the program and all 3 have found full time jobs. 

Discussion took place regarding a Waupaca County Homeless Shelter.  We are to contact Laurie Prahl for more information.

Sherry  Fisher stated the Surgeon General Report is out and she will share information with fact sheets at the February meeting.

OWI panel is meeting tomorrow evening.

Bill shared information regarding a booking program/process in jails.  The address is:  vinelink.com.

Discussion took place regarding a new computer program for child protection.  Connie will send the link to Mary Lea and she will forward to the group.

 

10.  Next Meeting:  Wed., Feb. 26th in the D.A. conference room/Courthouse.

 

11. Greg Watling made a motion to adjourn, second by Mary Lea St. Thomas motion carried.
