Minutes for October 23, 2013

Present:  Hon. Judge Hoffman, John Snider, D.A., Connie Abert, Mary Lea St. Thomas, Mark Zachow, Greg Watling, Bill Lipschultz, Bret Rodenz, Clif Morten, Mary Anich, Terry Taylor, and Terri Brooks

 

1.       7:35 AM call to order by Connie Abert

2.       Roll call

3.       It was noted that the meeting had been properly advertised and posted.

4.       Motion made to approve October agenda was made by John Snider and seconded by Mark Zachow.  Motion carried.

5.       Motion made to approve September minutes was made by John Snider and seconded by Greg Watling.  Motion carried.

6.       Treasurer’s Report – Sherry Fisher was not present.  Checking account remains at $403.70, savings account $1192.34.

7.       Information Sharing Program/MOU/Interagency Agreement

·         Terminology of partners utilized on first page shall continue throughout the MOU.

·         Page 5, number 14 – social services shall be changed to Waupaca County Department of Health and Human Services .

·         Page 5, number 15 – resource shall be changed to Police School Liaison Officer.

·         Page 5, number 17 – School District shall be changed to schools.

·         Page 6, number 23 – Courts shall be changed to Waupaca County Law Enforcement Agencies.   …..condition on a student.  (Delete unless the Court fails to inform the school of the condition.)

·         Page 10 – Connie will change wording of highlighted areas.

·         Page 10, number 4 – add reasonably suspected, arrested or charged…….

·         Page 10, number 4 – change to page 11 as District Attorney responsibility.

·         Page 11, number 1 – Delete make a reasonable attempt to and change to Notify the school of a student of the school charged with a crime.

·         Cover Letter Changes – Hon. John P. Hoffmann – Circuit Courts and Bret Rodenz – Waupaca City Police Department

8.       Membership – Bret will ask about high school student membership.

9.       Roundtable Sharing

·         Clif Morton presented CAP Services Fresh Start Open House and Groundbreaking in Waupaca Eastgate Estates, 2280 Mayek Drive, Waupaca on Tuesday, November 5 at 1:00 pm

·         Mary Lea St. Thomas – OWI Impact Panel is looking for speakers for meetings.  These are open to victims and offenders and the panel meets quarterly.  Next panel meeting scheduled for 10/24/2013.

10.    Next meeting Date is scheduled for November 20, 2013 at 7:30.  Please note date change.

11.    Mark motioned to adjourn meeting and Mary Lea seconded the motion.  Motion carried.
