Minutes for September 25, 2013

Present: Hon. Judge Hoffman, John Snider, D.A., Bill Lipschultz, Sherry Fisher, Kip Morton, Officer Mark Zachow, Terry Taylor, Mary Anich, Mary Lea St. Thomas, Connie Abert

1.  7:30 AM call to order by Connie Abert. 

2.  Roll Call

3.  It was noted that the meeting had been properly advertised and posted.

4.  Motion to approve agenda by John Snider, second by Mark Zachow.  Motion carried.

5.  Motion to approve the August 2013 meeting minutes by Mark Zachow, second by Mary Anich.   Motion carried.

6.  Treasurer’s report:  Checking account $403.70, savings account $1,192.34.  Motion to approve the treasurer’s report by John Snider, second by MaryLea St. Thomas.   Motion carried. 

7.   Information Sharing Program/MOU:  A review of the MOU was done.  Connie is to send out the revised copy with all of the recommended changes.  Will hopefully approve at the October meeting.

8.   Membership:  Ongoing. 

9.  Roundtable Sharing:

• Kip shared information about CAP Service program “Fresh Start” and told us of the Waupaca Eco-Park Proposal.
• Connie noted that the Waupaca County Schools have started the “Walk to School Program”.
• Connie shared that there is a Community Health Action Team (CHAT) which has the following alcohol and drug components:

1.  Clinic and hospital to work towards better prescription drug processes.

2.  Parent education

3.  Clinic coaching

4.  Larger social media effort

• Mary Lea told of the Vine Link Program that discloses an offender being released from custody.

11. Next Meeting:  October 23, 2013 at 7:30 am in the D.A. conference room.
