Minutes for May 22, 2013

Present: Terry Taylor, Hon. Judge Hoffman, Mary Kay Poehlman, Connie Abert, MaryLea St. Thomas, Bill Lipschultz, Terry Brooks, Sherry Fisher

1.  7:30 AM call to order by Connie Abert. 

2.  Roll Call

3.  It was noted that the meeting had been properly advertised and posted.

4.  Motion to approve agenda by Mary Kay Poehlman, 2^nd by Judge Hoffman.  Motion carried.

5.  Motion to approve the April 2013 meeting minutes by Mary Lea St. Thomas, second by Judge Hoffman.   Motion carried.

6.  Treasurer’s report:  Checking account $403.70.  Motion to approve the treasurer’s report by Judge Hoffman, second by Mary Lea St. Thomas.  Motion carried. 

7.   Information Sharing Program/MOU:  No report at this time.

8.    AB74 Legislative Update:  Connie presented a draft letter for our state legislators.  She will add any suggestions from the committee members.

Discussion took place regarding the grant process section of the proposed legislation - One half goes to law enforcement and one half goes to prevention.  Connie will amend the letter and send out to everyone to review.  Mary Lea will inquire as to how Brown County handles this.

9.  Membership:  On going.

10.  Roundtable Sharing:  Bill Lipschultz reported that he and Detective Sergeant Brian Hoelzel

attended the state Crime Stopper’s convention and that the major focus was the Tip-Soft Program and Facebook. 

11. Next Meeting June 26, 2013 at 7:30 AM in the D.A. Conference Room.
