Minutes for October 24, 2012

 

Present: D.A. John Snider, Sherry Fisher, Clintonville Police Officer, Mark Zachow, Mary Anich, Terry Taylor, Pastor Greg Watling, Julie Everts

 

1.  7:30 AM call to order by D.A. John Snider.

2.  Roll Call

3.  It was noted that the meeting had been properly advertised and posted.

4.  Motion to approve agenda by Sherry Fisher, 2nd by Mark Zachow.  Motion carried.

5.  Motion to approve the September 26, 2012 meeting minutes byGreg Watling, second by Mary Anich.   Motion carried.

6.  Treasurer’s report:  Checking account $813.70.  Savings Account $697.13.  Motion to approve the treasurer’s report by John Snider, 2nd Mark Zachow.  Motion carried. 

a)  Grants:  NL School, Waupaca Crime Stoppers, Parents Who Host Lose the Most, and the Clintonville Police Chief, Terry Lorge, have completed their reports.

 

7.  Information Sharing Program/MOU:  John Snider has to date 3 drafts of the MOU:

1.      Draft from Nic Dibble

2.      Draft from Attorney Robert Forsythe

3.      Draft from Connie Abert. 

John will read and compare the three drafts and report back for discussion at the November meeting.

 

8. Educational Session discussion/planning:  An application has been submitted for a presentation on Internet Safety at the sharing Day (date to be determined).

A Behavioral Screening and Intervention program has been recommended for Human Services for Waupaca County.  Mary Anich made a motion to table this topic until the November meeting, 2nd by Greg Watling.  Motion carried.

 

9.  Proposed Legislation discussion:  Two Rivers Ordinance is in regard to social hosting and regulating underage possession and consumption of alcohol at private residences.  John Snider is going to distribute a copy of the ordinance to the Waupaca County Police Chiefs.

 

10.  Membership:  Jodi Glodowski is unable to attend our monthly meetings and has asked to be removed from our roll.  Greg Watling made a motion to regretfully accept the resignation of Jodi Glodowski, 2nd by Terry Taylor.  Motion carried.  Mary Anich is to invite a nurse from Waupaca County to attend our meetings.

 

12.  Roundtable:

Pastor Greg  reported there are 2 new Health Care Action Teams from Riverside Medical Center and New London Family Medical Center.

Terry reported that the Chain O’Lakes Clinic is Joint Commission Accredited.

Julie reported that she will be a Criminal Justice graduate on 12-15-12.  She is currently doing a work study with MaryLea St. Thomas.

Sherry reported that the Tobacco Prevention and Control Program is concentrating on smoke free multi-unit housing and other tobacco products.  Sherry will be working in Waupaca County in regards to these two objectives.
